Classification Of Hearing Aids

Hearing aid is an instrument that helps improve hearing. In fact, it is a small semiconductor loudspeaker. Its function can make the relatively weak sound be amplified and transmitted to the earphone, so that the part of the original hearing loss can be heard by the amplification effect.

At present, there are several types as follows, but their functions and principles are the same.

(1) From the external structure, it can be divided into: box type, behind-the-ear type, in-ear type, and in-ear type can be divided into ordinary in-ear type, ear canal type, and deep ear canal type.

(2) According to the electronic principle, it can be divided into: analog hearing aid; programmable hearing aid, all-digital hearing aid, wide dynamic language technology hearing aid, etc.

(3) Hearing aids are divided into air conduction hearing aids and bone conduction hearing aids according to the conduction method. Box type, behind-the-ear type, and in-ear type are all air conduction hearing aids.
